A fandom I fell in love with this Yuletide, the canon combines a 1930s London setting, and David Suchet’s star turn as Poirot. Who could fail to be charmed by the great detective’s (adorable) vanity and particularity, brilliance, and deep undercurrent of passion underneath that agreeable composure, and Hastings’ gentle but unswerving loyalty and courtesy? As conveyed by this delightful, compelling show, they are such devoted companions as well as a competent crime-solving partnership. I would love to see their affectionate, agreeable, quietly romantic dynamic play out in the bedroom.
Perhaps Poirot or Hastings get ensnared by bad guys and have to submit to the villains or to each other? Or Hastings suddenly comes upon Poirot déshabillé and can’t stop fantasising about his dear friend? Or in an alternate-universe England where same-sex marriages are de rigeur, these two companions find themselves compelled to consummate the fake union thrust upon them by circumstance or the war? That iron woobie, Hastings, might also be receptive to Poirot’s gentle discipline, and Poirot might take a fancy to his cher ami in the uniform he wore at the Battle of the Somme.
I’m equally fond of first times and established relationships. I have no views on which of them tops, though I’d imagine Poirot would prefer to be in charge in the bedroom regardless of their actual configuration.

My oldest fandom combines politics, a gloriously campy science fiction setting courtesy of 1970s British telly, and iron woobie Kerr Avon, played by a gloriously young Paul Darrow. Avon was an arrogant, fiercely intelligent, amoral criminal who becomes a revolutionary despite himself, whom the show unfortunately only occasionally punished and even more seldom imperilled. I have a great wish for further peril and punishment at the hands of his enemies, of which he would hate every single moment, and be torn between suffering sarcastically and iron-woobiely hating himself for secretly enjoying. I am particularly entertained by Avon’s push-and-pull, enemies-to-lovers dynamic with Blake, and how despite Avon’s canon disdain, he’s drawn back time and again into Blake’s orbit.
Perhaps bad guys make them to it, or a mission or the Federation or the resistance effort compels them to marry and/or to have sex, or a mission gone wrong suddenly soul-bonds them together? Perhaps Blake is forced to subject Avon to corporal punishment for his own good, or to rescue Avon from the life of prostitution or sexual slavery which Avon’s criminal deeds have condemned him to, or from the fucking machine which somehow Avon managed to trigger? Perhaps they throw caution to the wind after a successful mission and end up having gleeful bloody victory sex?
I would prefer Avon to bottom and/or be the subject of the whump, though of course he’s characteristically sarcastic about it. A Bad Ending/Federation Wins setting and/or conclusion would be welcome.

This canon combines politics, a historical WW2 setting as depicted by 70s British telly, and iron woobie Dieter Richter, played by gorgeously ascetic, saintly-faced Alfie Burke. Richter is the urbane, gentlemanly Kommandant of the island of Guernsey in WW2, a contrast to his war criminal SS attache, Klaus Reinicke, whose evil woobieness was gloriously played up by Simon Cadell with great glee and shapeliness in wickedly tight-fitting breeches.
The show doesn’t shy away from the moral dilemmas on the island and of their time, and I would love to see all dark moral choices and fraught non/dubious consent scenarios that take your fancy. Perhaps Richter (or Clive) has to administer punishment to Reinicke via caning or a fucking machine, or perhaps the Reich required Richter to consummate the occupation by marrying Philip (or his SS attache)? Perhaps the war effort or enemy soldiers made them do it? Or postwar, Clive and Reinicke come across each other in West Germany, or Richter and Philip reunite in Cambridge, or Richter and Reinicke find their way to each other in a POW camp or a gulag, and these enemies navigate their way to friendship and from there to love.
If anyone is being caned or punished, I would like it to be Reinicke; failing him, Richter. Richter would suffer stoically and be wracked by guilt; Reinicke would reluctantly cry. Needless to say, a Bad Ending/Enemies Win setting and/or conclusion would be welcome, as well as having the story end on an unrescued, non-comfort and/or unresolved note.

My newest fandom combines politics, a historical WW2 setting, and George MacKay, fresh from the successes of 1917, here in a classic iron woobie role as the fictional Hugh Legat, Prime Minister Chamberlain’s personal private secretary, trying to rekindle his relationship with Oxonian classmate Paul von Hartmann and to stop the war. The show follows these two from their idealistic student friendship (including Lena, the girl they were both in love with) to their adulthood six years later, finding themselves on different sides of the burgeoning war. The contrast is delicious, as is their deep, passionate friendship, and their loyalty to each other, which is tested to its limits in the show.
I would like to see those limits tested even more. What if their dangerous mission compelled them to have sex with others, or with each other, as a show of loyalty? Perhaps the Berlin Foreign Office required Paul to subject himself to its discipline – canes, or fucking machines? Or, in their Oxford days, what if Paul and Hugh engaged in impact play, or risked themselves for each other in a foreshadowing of things to come?
I am agnostic to who gets whumped in this fandom; feel free to whump them both, though I would imagine Legatt being on the receiving end of any caning involving Hartmann, and being on the bottom end of any sex. For this fandom, I do not want a Bad Ending.
